About her mom:
She always knows what to do to cheer me up. Whenever I feel down, my mom will take me shopping or out to lunch. she's 100% there for me, and always has been. My family keeps me going no metter what.
Do you play any instruments?:
I took piano lessons when I was younger and I've been trying to learn how to play the guitar recently. I'd realy like to learn how to play the drums. They're alot of fun and they require a lot of focus.

On High School Musical:
It's hard to find people you are very close to and can relate to, but with this movie we really did bond. I felt very blessed for that.

The second I met Zac I thought he was a really cool guy. It's hard not to have chemistry with someone who is quite attractive.

My first real kiss came when I was 10, and it was in an acting class. I had to do a scene from a movie where someone gets kissed under a tree, and I did not want to do it! But my acting partner wanted me to feel comfortable, so he bought a picnic basket with all these snacks. He made such an effort - and it was cute.
My little sister Stella partly looks up to me. She depends on me and I always try to set a good example for her.
My passion is doing movies, and as long as I keep doing that, I'll be happy. I want to do movies, fun roles and dramatic ones. I love all of it.

Right now, I do not like kids at all. I mean, I love my fans and everything, but when you have kids following you around all day, it's like, "Ugh, kids!" Maybe that will change when I get older.
So many people try to grow up too fast, and it's not fun! You should stay a kid as long as possible!

Touring is tough. You're almost in a haze because you don't really know where you are half the time: You're in a hotel room one moment, and the next thing you know, you're onstage performing for 60,000 people, then you're back on an airplane. It's very hectic and I couldn't do it without my family.
When you're acting, you're a character and you can hide behind that. Music is who you are right then and there--you can't hide.
