Gina Gershon, who was born on June 10, 1962 in L.A., is a talented actress who has graced the silverscreen, TV and Broadway. After attending New York University, where she studied Child Psychology and Drama, Gina attended the Circle in the Square Professional Theater School and became one of the founding members of Naked Angels, the NY-based theater group.

One of Gina Gershon’s first acting appearances was in the productions “Camille” and “The Substance of Fire.” She then had a small role in the 1986 chick flick “Pretty in Pink” and an appearance in the 1988 films “Red Heat” and “Cocktail” alongside Tom Cruise. Gershon switched to TV work, appeared in the series “The Days and Nights of Molly Dodd” in 1989 and landed a recurring role on the hit drama series “Melrose Place” in 1993. Gina also played Nancy Sinatra in the 1992 made-for-TV biopic, “Sinatra.” Her work in Sinatra was critically acclaimed, which led to more work including the 1995 film “Showgirls,” and the 1996 mobster flick “Bound” Gina Gershon also co-starred in the Nicolas Cage and John Travolta action film “Face/Off” in 1997.

From 1997 to 2000, Gina Gershon appeared in several films, including “This World and Then The Fireworks,” “Palmetto,” “One Tough Cop,” “Black & White,” and “The Insider.” After appearing in the ABC comedy-drama series “Snoops” in 1999, Gershon continued to co-star in various films, including the 2001 “Driven” and “Picture Claire,” the 2002 movies “Borderline,” and “Demonlover,” the 2003 drama “Prey for Rock and Roll” and 2004 films “Three Way” and “Out of Season.”

Aside from films, Gina Gershon has also lent her voice to various animation projects, including the “Spider-Man: The New Animated Series” in 2003, “Tripping the Rift” in 2004 and “The Batman” from 2004 to 2008. On Broadway, Gershon also appeared in the 1998 revival of “Cabaret” and portrayed Sally Bowles. She went back on to Broadway for the 2008 revival of “Boeing Boeing” and played Gabriella. Aside from acting and singing, Gina Gershon can also play the Jew’s harp, which can be heard on the Scissor Sister’s 2006 song “I Can’t Decide” and Paul Simon and Herbie Hancock’s song “I Do It For Your Love.”

Gina Gershon landed a role in the HBO series “Curb Your Enthusiasm” in 2004 and continued to portray a Hasidic drycleaner until 2007. In between her work for HBO, she appeared in other TV shows, including “Ugly Betty,” “Psych” and several episodes of “Rescue Me.” Some of her latest film work include “Category 7: The End of the World,” “Dreamland,” “One Last Thing…,” “Kettle of Fish,” “Rent,” “What Love Is,” “Delirious,” “P.S. I Love You,” “Beer for My Horses,” “Just Business,” and “Love Ranch.”
